iHome teases three docks for CES, iLuv speaker due
iHome on Thursday revealed it will bring three new alarm clocks with dock for various iOS devices to CES. They include the iW4, which iHome says is the first bedside alarm clock dock to get AirPlay support, the iP18 iPhone and iPod system, and the iD50 AM/FM radio that can accommodate iPads, iPhones and iPods. The iW4 gets a 20W amp and a Wi-Fi radio to connect to home networks.
It can connect to iPads, iPhone and iPod touch devices and will cost $270 when it launches later this year.
The iP18 dual-alarm clock has LED lights that can glow in a number of colors or switched to one of four color-changing modes. It gets Reson8 speaker chamber technology and a one-touch clock sync. It will cost $70.
The iD50 uses Bluetooth and has an AM/FM radio tuner built-in. It will cost $170.
iLuv has also outed a new product, the Mo'Beats (iSP245) speaker stand. It can hold tablets and smartphones in most cases in either portrait or landscape orientations. It connects using Bluetooth and is portable, thanks to a built-in, rechargeable lithium-ion battery. A 3.5mm headphone input jack will let users plug in other sources.
The iSP245 ships in May for $100.
