Samsung reveals slew of new wired, BT headsets
Samsung Mobile on Friday revealed a number of new wired in-ear headsets under a new 'your sound' brand. All have an in-line remote and microphone that allows users to place calls and listen to music. The $20 EHS-60 are at the bottom of the rung and get gel earbuds to isolate background noise. Next up are the $50 EHS-63 headphones, which use a hybrid design.
They have a simultaneously open-air and in-ear speaker design for keeping users in tune with noises from the outside world. The soft silicone ear cushions are said to offer good fit and comfort, even when working out.
The premium EHS-70 headset gets Dynamic Receiver Speakers and is housed in an aluminum black and silver alloy body. It includes a leather carrying case. Pricing hasn't been revealed.
The EHS-71 is the most advanced, meant for audiophiles. Made with lightweight aircraft aluminum materials, the headset is made to deliver the most distortion-free sound, although the actual performance hasn't been detailed.
Samsung also unveiled two Bluetooth headsets for phone conversations. The $40 HM1800 will connect to two Bluetooth devices at the same time. The HM6000 sports smoked chrome details and uses Samsung's dual-mic noise-cancelling technology. It can stream audio and offers text-to-speech through a FreeSync Android app.
