Belkin Dyle TV prototype

Through a new partnership with Mobile Content Venture, Belkin has announced it will be creating hardware that enables smartphone and tablet users to watch live broadcast programming. Shown at CES as a prototype, the mobile DTV accessory connects to an iOS device through the Dock Connector and streams a TV signal without the need for an Internet connection. A standard 3.5mm audio jack is also included, making it unclear if the device will allow audio to be streamed through the device's built-in speaker.

Dyle Mobile TV is a partnership between 15 major broadcasting companies, including Fox, ION, and NBC, that provides access to more than 72 stations across 32 different markets. Currently, no pricing or release information is available for Belkin's upcoming MDTV adapter.
