Guides teachers, students through process

Apple has opened up a new iTunes U support section on its website. The content is mostly aimed at educators, for instance guiding people through publishing, the Course Manager, and the Public Site Manager. Both students and faculty have access to forums, and instructions for dealing with settings and common problems.

The overhauled iTunes U was announced just last Thursday. Instead of just a section of the iTunes Store, iTunes U is now a full iOS app. In the transition it has grown to incorporate full online courses, not just podcasts and small amounts of reading material. Complementing this is Apple's new iPad-based interactive textbook platform, made possible by iBooks 2.
