Virtual Programming recently unveiled an expansion to Crusader Kings, which it is calling Deus Vult, available as an digital download. Players are charged with creating medieval Europe's most powerful dynasty, from 1066 to 1453 AD. Gain prestige and increase the greatness of your lands and coffers. Build cathedrals and castles, and recruit vassal states, while battling traitors, introduce laws and taxes, and interact with hundreds of courtiers and nobles. Virtual Programming is selling Crusader Kings: Deus Vult for $20.
The expansion improves the graphics of Crusader Kings, while introducing a number of new gameplay elements. Player's realms will not simply fall apart completely when political trouble surfaces, as loyal friends will stand buy when all else fails. Vassal states can also rebel, causing trouble for player realms.
New traits and diplomacy options are available, and a new system for heirs has been introduced. Children start off with their statistics at zero, and progressively mature through childhood, keeping players uncertain of how good their heir will be until he matures.
