Vvidget 10.5.4 does Leopard/MySQL connection

VVI has released a new version of Vvidget, its charting and graphing software. Features in the program include a quadratic lab for students, and considerable extensibility, including options for monitoring information such as CPU use, web data, or the voltage of lab equipment. More cosmetic features of Vvidget including rotating 3D charts, and the ability to truncate curves or have them extend beyond a graph's frame.

The v10.5.4 update of the software includes what the company calls the first 64-bit MySQL connector for Mac OS X. The connector must be installed on an Intel Mac running Mac OS X Leopard, but can then be used to graph content from MySQL databases. Connection details are assigned through the Vvidget Builder, and the connector is compatible with both MySQL 4 and 5, on servers running 32- or 64-bit versions of virtually any operating system.
